The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy was founded in 2009 by entrepreneur and star of Dragons’ Den, Peter Jones CBE, with a view to encourage more entrepreneurial activity in the UK based on a philosophy of ‘learning by doing’.
The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy set out to be a catalyst for cultural change by bringing the boardroom into the classroom. The Academy aims to equip future generations of entrepreneurs with the skills and mindset to run their own businesses, thereby supporting the future of the British economy.
Within the UK there are now 32 PJEA, many based with existing colleges and universities.
During her time in the UK, Lou had the pleasure and privilege to be the lead Brand and Marketing lecturer for the induction year of PJEA students at Bournemouth College.
Whilst following a curriculum, Lou was able to share her first hand knowledge of business ownership with 30 students aged between 18-35 years, many of whom have gone on to create their own businesses.
